Alabama Rocks
I was just leaving a comment on my sisters blog and remembered a chant that the Pelham Highschool spectators said at football games. I have shared this with many, but thought that for those that haven't heard it-you need to be enlightened!
"GO BACK. GO BACK. GO BACK INTO THE WOODS.
YOUR MOMMA CHEWS TOBACCO AND YOUR TEAM AINT NO GOOD!"
This is real. My parents are moving to a more sophisticated area. I hope.
Oh, and this is a pic of me from Alabama. My Aunt Renee is giving me a perm. Yes-a perm. Fitting in baby!

I need Scooby and his friends b/c we have a mystery here!
Phil came home from work the other day laughing. Somebody had left a little something on our van. I have no clue who did it, and somebody needs to fess up. If anything, to take the credit for this hilarity!!
I did notice that it's made in Mexico. I do know someone who's moving there and who's been working down there. And despite their somewhat convincing "it wasn't me's" I have my doubts that they didn't do it. FESS UP FOOLS!!!

Hoppy Easter!!
I know that's so cheesy, but I love Easter. It's not totally commercialized like Christmas, but I have such great memories of Easter from my childhood and I love replicating my traditions w/ my kids. We were a bit slow on getting clothes for the boys, but Saturday we went and found them some cute polos to wear. I have to say buying boys clothes isn't as fun as a fun frilly dress, but they looked good all the same.
Easter Eve (as Ty refered to it as) we went to the Meyerson's to decorate eggs and watch Juno. Somehow Trav has it on DVD, is that legal? Anywho...It was hilarious and we enjoyed ourselves. Decorating the eggs was creative and messy, isn't that part of tradition? We even tried doing those shrinky things on uncooked eggs-not a good idea...
Easter Morn the bunny was good to the kids. He ate the carrots they'd left for him and filled their baskets full of goodies. Ty got a water gun (don't you think gun when you think of Easter?) and Chasey got a toy truck. We then rushed off to church where the children were absolute angels. Seriously. They were soooo good I am afraid next week they'll be awful to compensate. Then after church we went to Jake's gravesite for a little visit. Jenny got him some really cute gerber daisies and w/ the sunny weather it was a peaceful visit.
Then off to our house w/ the Meyerson's and Phil's parents for eggs hunts & dinner. Joellen filled eggs w/ candy and cash and we hid them w/ the real eggs. The older 2 were pretty cut throat and things got competitive. Chasey however was content taking the real eggs (of course) and chucking them off the deck. Curses!! We dined on ham, funeral potatoes a la Meyerson, rolls and other foods nobody cares about. Joellen made a yummy cake and after all the snacks and candy we were stuffed. We watched some Brian Reagan, played an 80's game where the Meyerson's spanked us and then it was off to beddy bye.
It was a nice day and now I have to chuck this candy. I worked out today only to counteract all the chocolate I'm eating!!!

How do you do Hunter Poo!
Farewell to Rhode Island!
My parents are moving to Alabama (that still makes me laugh to say) this week, so a few weeks ago the kids and I took our last trip to RI. My dad has been working down in Bama for months, so it was just my mom. We sold a ton of things on Craigslist and I helped talk her into getting rid of things. The kids just ran wild and played with Grandma. Thanks for having us mom and peace out RI!! Can't say I'll miss the state per say, but I will miss having my parents so close. I'm excited to have family back south b/c I miss it so much, but having lived in Alabama I'm sure it will be another adventure for my parents!
Here are some pics of the highlights of the week...
My parents have some swords from a million years ago that they have hidden and Ty found them and he almost died w/ excitement. He's still obsessed w/ pirates and we told him they were old pirate swords. It was great!
Just a cute shot of Ty at Lowe's.
We took the boys to my mom's friends house to feed her horses. It was awesome until Ty was bitten by one! It actually broke his little skin! Look at those teeth-they're huge!
After hiking 2 miles Tyler was having an emotional melt-down. He was tired and bawling and eventually just threw himself down. We of course kept walking assuming he'd be up in a moment, but that wasn't so. He called our bluff and I eventually had to drag him to the end. The next pic is funny b/c he only poked his head up once to check if we'd left him.

One of the beaches near my mom has been filled with seals. You take about a mile hike to get to the water and it's really beautiful. THere is no sand, it's all seashells. There were no sunning seals, but we found tons of starfish and much to my surprise Tyler picked them up! We walked up and down the beach and he threw them back into the water to "save" them. We didn't have the heart to tell him they'd already kicked the bucket. Chasey was hilarious. He was like a caged animal set free. He just ran and scream and stomped literally the whole time.

St. Patty's day came and went in a flash
I only know one person who cares about this holiday and that is Marylynn. So for you - Happy St. Patrick's Day! For the rest of us I think it's: make green food, have a school party perhaps and wear green or you'll get a pinch!
Tyler and Chase enjoyed a lovely breakfast of green oatmeal, green grapes and green milk. Today I helped w/ Tyler's school party, and I have to say every year this holiday is a let down. Oh, well. Tyler had fun in class at least!

Windshield Wiper Fluid is NOT good for the skin...
Firstly I have to say I am not posting this b/c I was mocked by you K. Lyman. So don't get a big head about it. :)
SEcondly I have to discuss my morning yesterday. We were up too late Saturday night and so getting up for 9 am church was very painful. We dragged and dragged but finally got out the door at a reasonable time. So the kiddies are buckled in and I was just getting in my side of the van and was about to tell Phil how proud we should be for being almost on time, when he "accidentally" hit the windshield wiper/fluid spray and soaked my face and hair. He says he didn't mean to, but I strongly doubt this. He then goes to tell me it's only water. Well my friends, since it was in my mouth and I was eating it, I can strongly say windshield wiper fluid is indeed a cleaning agent. I was fairly calm I'd say through all this. I "gently" told him wiper fluid is bright blue, and why in the heck would they fill jugs of blue water and sell it. It's obviusly something that cleans the FREAKING windshield!!!
So after some clean-up we made it to church during the opening song. And for those of you who know how I obsess over my skin, I've warned Phil that if my skin breaks out I may kill him.
