A Simple Thanksgiving

Dancing happy kids!
Okay, back at the start. Chase's class had to disguise a turkey. This is what he and Phil came up with. And Phil is pretty proud of it. He wants to frame it or something.
Cute kids. Here's Chase's Indian costume for his school Thanksgiving Feast.
And regrettably Ty had to be a pilgrim. He wasn't happy at all. Even when we told him they had musket ball guns. Indians w/ bows are just cooler I guess.
So to totally simplify this year we decided to go out to eat. I blame it on the fact that Jackie's pregnent, but really it just sounded nice. So here we are at Cracker Barrel waiting for our name to be called. The food was okay, certainly not homemade. But it was a fun experiene. And next year I'm baking. For sure!

The happy Shafer clan.
The odd Barno clan.
that's better-ish.
Classic Chase.
Cute Ty.
This was all she'd eat. Corn muffins. It was nap time and she was not having it.
Addy was starting to get tired too.
I'd say this is how we always look.
But this is more our normal.

She's awake!
We had intended on making dessert for after dinner (we felt like we should do SOMETHING), but then Cracker Barrel's meal came w/ pie, so we didn't even have to! Doug and Jackie did make a cake though.
My dad's sister Kris was in town visiting her son who happens to live just down the street from Jack. It was so fun to see them! I haven't seen them in maybe 10 years. Isn't she cute?
Jackie, me, my cousins Kaitlyn and Kurt
Aunt Kris and Uncle Craig
Doug and his moustache like to play w/ the kids. :)  We had another great trip to VA. Thanks again for having us AGAIN!!
