HALLOWEEN STUFF

After I posted all these pics I remembered my friend Amanda had sent me a bunch of pics. And I don't get blogger-I uploaded them here and it puts them at the top of the post, not at the end. Oh, well. So out of order. Here's some more!
At my cute next door neighbors house. She'd just had a hysterectomy so it was great she came out to talk w/ us.
 The crew.
Eliza's poor cute pink ballet shoes at the end of the night. The snow was melting into a muddy disaster. Oh, well. it was cute while they lasted!
Firstly-I'd like to thank Halloween for scaring the crap out of Eliza. B/c of all the ghosts, goblins, witches, etc. seen all over the place she is afraid of the dark. Hates going to bed. Doesn't like to be alone in the basement anymore, etc. It's been reaaaaaly awesome. Anywho-back in October the kids were so excited to decorate. Once the costumes were out they were immediately on the kids!
The ghost in the right corner is my nemesis. It's sound activated and howls and shakes and generally terrifies the kids. But they also love it. Go figure.
Spooooky!
Kids drinks wrapped up as a mummy. It startled them at school. HA!

This year we were a bit slow in getting pumpkins. And decided to get them last minute in a snow storm. Brrr!

Consequently we ended up with the hardest, weirdest pumpkins ever. We couldn't even carve one of them!
Heading off to the boys' school Halloween Parade. Eliza was cold and didn't want to wear her ballerina costume, so she snuggled up as a lion. Don't those boys just disappear into the background? :)
I have terrible pics from trick-or-treating. Here's Eliza and Claire. They were so darling running down the sidewalk together to get candy!

All tuckered out afterward. The kids had fun answering the door and handing out candy.
spooky pumpkin!
This is our front porch. The kids helped me make the ghosts w/ sheets and tomato cages w/ lights underneath.
