Jenny Lind?
I don't know who she is-but this is the style of bed that I want for the boys. 2 twins. Can you just see them painted red or dark blue? If any of you in my area ever see one at a garage sale or anything you must call me immediately! I'm just in love w/ these vintage styles!

Check your email. I just sent a picture of Hannah's bed I found at an estate sale. It was cherry red and now it's white. Don't let those spindles fool you. They take a LOT of time to sand down!!

you know i'm a fan of jenny lind beds. we skipped the box springs and just have mattresses on ours. you are right, it definitely shows the headboard more that way.

so actually my bed is like that... the only thing to be aware of is that most of the beds like that are 3/4 size -- which means you have to get mattresses specially ordered!
