My little sister Jackie gave birth to her first child yesterday and boy did she work hard for her! Little Addy was facing up and b/c of the shape of jack's pelvis wasn't going to make it out the old-fashioned way. So after pushing for 3 hours they finally did the emergency c-section. Poor little Addy's head is bruised and scratched from all the pushing-ouch! But she's darling and weighed in at 8lbs 1oz and 21 inches long. She's #16 for the Dunlop family and we're excited to have another chubby-cheeked gal around!

Congrats on your newest little niece!! What a cute little face. Jackie looks amazing for all that work she did. On a side note...Emily was "sunny side up", too. That's what the nurses called it. LOL! Luckily my pelvis was compatible with her sunny-side-up-ness. Yes, that is a word now! Anyway...congrats Shafers on your beautiful baby!!
Yay for new babies! Thank heavens for modern medicine that makes C-sections possible.
She is a trooper that's for sure! What a cutie pie!
Good job Jackie! what a tough labor! I hope she is recovering well, her baby is adorable!
I go through cutestblogontheblock's website and click on their ad (share books) to print my blog books.
Jackie looks so happy and Doug looks just a little bit shell shocked. I guess that happens after you see you wife's insides and become a daddy in the same 5 minutes!
Personally having heavier babies and Annie even heavier than Addy and all big heads - I really was happy for that first emergency c-section b/c I wouldn't do it any other way.
