We decided to give the boys a gift a little early. I know, this is lame. But I found it used and I was dying to give this crazy roller coaster to them. Plus I was afraid it would overshadow the real gift we got them on Christmas. This will be posted about on Christmas. (well, in theory it would be, I'll probalby do it in March.) Tyler's friend from school has this toy, and though it looks kind of lame and small, the kids LOVE it. They've gone backwards, forwards, eyes closed. Phil even managed to go down it (which was a painful experience for him-duh.) I anticipate hours of fun in the basement, and then when warm weather rolls around fun in the backyard. So hooray for hideous plastic!!!

Fall 2008
I guess when you don't blog for months it becomes this huge job and I feel like every moment must be shared. So sorry for the large number of pics!
We went to Lee's Turkey Farm to pick apples to make applesauce.
Woops! Too much weight on the back.
Doesn't he look so little?!?!
tyler becomes the photographer.
I had to show that yes my boys do like each other!
it's hard to see, but Ty and his friend made a spiderweb out of yarn across the entire backyard.
We went to Windsor Farm to get pumpkins and the boys loved riding the ponies.
Chase wouldn't stop petting his "hosie" the entire walk.

This is some serious pumpkin carving
This is a spider. duh-can't you see that?
The boys. Chase is wearing a Dodgers jacket which is actually a sin in our home. Thanks Jenn.
Showcasing the monster leaf he found. It's bigger than his head! This is what we spent hours raking from our yard. Sigh...
Baking pumpkin cookies. This is the day after the Phillies won the World Series.

Such strange happenings here at the Barno's
These are just some of the things we've been doing around here...
The Jester mowing the lawn.
Chase attempts roller skating. It didn't end well.
He also vacuums. He's a man of many talents.
We had many popcorn parties watching movies so I could rest. Apparently pants were optional.

We've had LOTS of hot chocolate.
POLAR EXPRESS
Chase is obsessed with trains. Tyler really likes them. So why not take the kiddies on an authentic steam train themed after Chase's favorite movie- The Polar Express. We had such a great time and brought Lexi along with us. The kids were an awe and were even convinced we magically went to the North Pole. (toward the middle of the ride when we stopped and back tracked to the station there was suddenly snow on the ground. maybe we really did go there?...)
Chase couldn't stop staring at the tracks. He was in awe.
Serving our hot chocolate wearing the same clothing as the movie!!
The conductor punching our tickets. The kids were all giggles.
Chase was seriously just shocked by it all. He was staring at the conductor like-are you Tom Hanks?
The crew. Pardon the large blimp-gag.
SANTA! He brought each child a bell. If you're familiar w/ the movie-yes I could hear the ringing.
Here she is! Look at that steam. It was so fun!
I loved the guys in the background shoveling coal. So authentic. I'm such a sucker for all this.
