NCAA fun in Denver

When our brother-in-law called and asked Phil if he wanted to go to the Third-round games in Denver-Phil almost died and said, "YES!!!" Especially since BYU was playing there. Now, I am taking liberties in selecting these pics-we've talked about Phil and I doing this together so he could, but since it's been 3 weeks since he got home I'm just doing it. And that stuff in the beginning about third-round stuff, I jsut read that from a picture. I have no clue what I'm saying!!!

So Phil stayed w/ my sister Jess and her hubby Dan. Here's Dan at what I believe is the first BYU game. They watched sooo many games which sounds sooo boring to me-but Phil was in HEAVEN!!! They had great seats for both days.  I think the second day they were 4 rows back. I know he'll correct me!

 And Phil
The man Jimmer. Phil had a blast watching him play.
 Da guys.
Funny sign a fellow fan had made.
Phil will have to explain this later. It seemed like an important shot b/c he took a pic of it.
Some kid. Is this Jimmer? I don't know sports people.
 Or him?
 Doesn't Phil look photo-shopped in?
Back at their house showing off the shirt they got Phil. He loves it! Thanks for having him and taking him all over Colorado and feeding him! He had a great time. I was glad he was willing to come back home to us! :)

Chase birthday part 3.

Last night on his real birthday we had the Meyerson's over for dinner and cake. After eating Lexi and Chase decided we needed to open his gifts on the trampoline.
Chase showing us how old he is!
Lexi made him a wooden car. She sketched it out herself!
They gave him some bike accessories. I found him out in the garage this morning in his jammies sitting on his bike just honking his new horn.
And lastly was the black spider-man costume. He took it in today for show and tell.
                                                              Becoming one w/ the costume.
Meanwhile the little girls just bee-bopped around. Pretty cute!
In full gear. The muscles just look natural on him for some reason.
This kills me. Chase mid-flip. Scares me too.
                                                                  Ty just looking handsome.
His lame cake. Avatar: The Last Airbender. I just don't even get it. It tasted good.
We zipped the girls in and they played contently for probably 30 mins or more. It was awesome!!
Trav brought his small pellet gun. They shot at the house and thought they were hot stuff.
                                                                     Ty being a gangster.
The girls taking a much-needed break.
We had no candles (again) so he just shoved his face nearly into the cake. Do you see Jenn freaking out-Don't smash your face in the cake!!!!
At the end of the night he became some sort of crazy man. He reminds me of a guy on the movie, "Predator."

Chase Birthday part deux

Phil's mom and brother and family came to wish Chasey a happy b-day a day early. They came bearing gifts and made his day! Here he is opening his Ironman 2 fishing rod. He hasn't stopped asking to go fishing since!
Grandma Joellen jumped on the trampoline for the first time in her life!
Hunter finally got the hang of jumping. And I think even had fun!

Tim and Phil were maniacs jumping each other. They are both so tall!!
                                                             Grandma and her grandkiddies
Thanks for coming and taking us out to dinner!

Just alot of things going on. Perhaps none if it that interesting to you!

Chase and his buddy Zach quietly reading. I had to document that they can indeed be quiet!! Oh, and like the water storage barrel in the family room? Me neither. It's since made it to the basement.

My dad sent the boys each his old snowmobile hats. They immediately became ninjas. They've been watching alot of "Avatar: The Last Airbender."
Tyler looking crazy. And so is Chase down there in the corner!

This one kills me. The other day Eliza begged for about 20 minutes for a bowl for her "fishies." I kept telling her no. Just eat them off of the table. And then I became busy making dinner. I glanced over where I found her eating the fishies out of her shoe. I hear the 3rd child is always very resourceful.
On April Fool's Day we had Chase's friend Tessa over. She brought a piece of chocolate cake. Which I thought was nice, but also noticed all 5 sides were frosted. Now, one would be suspicious b/c of the day it was, but I was clueless. So I go to slice into it and couldn't get through it. So I'm sawing it and Tessa starts giggling like crazy and yells "it's a sponge!!" Yes, indeedy it was. So after I dropped her off at home we stopped to get a doughnut. She got us good!!!  P.S. I hate the mess a powdered one makes.
                                                             She's a serious chocolate lover.
Eliza disappeared for about 10 mins. and I came upstairs to check on her. I could hear her singing as I approached. She was just quietly looking at books and singing. My boys NEVER did this stuff! it still surprises me!

#1!

Phil and his buddy Bryon are on a YMCA basketball league. This is the first time their team has come in first place. They were thrilled! On a sidenote. Each season they get a different colored shirt. I am wondering if the Barney purple color helped them to win. They had to prove their manliness?

Happy Birthday Chasey!!!

Here is Chase this morning seeing his "new" vintage fisher price toys! His expressions are just to die for!

I can't believe my little buddy is 5 years old today! He's come a long way and we're so proud of what a great helper, brother and friend he is. I had to make him his own kitchen apron so he could help me without making a mess of his clothes. He wants to help carry groceries, take out the trash, watch Eliza. You name it and he's on it.

We love you buddy!!

April fool's nonsense

Phil and the kids got me good this morning. So, not to offend anybody-but I just don't like dogs. Especially those that "relieve" themselves on my yard. Annoys me sooooo bad. What if my kids came and pooped and peed all over your grass? Why is that acceptable-is my question. So anyway...

I hadn't slept very well last night and so I was still asleep at 8 when they came in. Very excited. "Cyd-get up. The neighbors dog somehow got into our backyard and he's pooping in our yard!!!" The kids were flipping out. So Phil dragged me into the bathroom to look out the window. I was completely out of it. So I got in there and they all yelled "April Fool's Day!!"

Good one guys. Remember who makes your food.
