I had to boast, that FINALLY at the ripe age of 2 1/2 years Chase is talking. He's been babbling since he was 1, but none of it was true words. We've had him evaluated by the state and he just barely didn't qualify for the program so the doctor told us to sit tight b/c although he wasn't speaking, he was following commands and seemed to understand us. So as of the last 2 weeks this kid is knocking our socks off. He said to me the other day, "what is happening mommy?" This coming from a kid who just a month ago still had no name or word for his brother.
So hooray for Chasey!! And this pic just makes me laugh b/c that's his "I'm too cool" face. I get this face much of the day already. sigh...

Go Chase!!! He's right up there with Kenedee. She has been speaking in her sweet language forever and we wondering if she'd ever talk for reals. Within the last three weeks words are coming out everyday, it's exciting! So I know how you feel to finally communicate with your 2 year old!!!
Peyton had that problem too, he would just mumble. But now you will never get him to stop talking. And like Peyton all the questions will start. "Why? What for? How come?" I am so excited for you that Chase is talking.
