I need some closure on something...

Okay, I thought this was a good place to ask this question. When i was a kid in probably 5th grade we had library time and I remember we used to watch these movies about this van or something that was a traveling library. And then it was something bizarre like the end of the world and all these bad guys wanted the books. All I know is that we were at a pretty intense part of the show and the bad guys were coming and the "librarians" in the truck were trying to defend themselves and then the teacher said we'd finish it later. And then I moved. And at this point you're thinking I'm totally nuts, but you have no idea how many times in the last 18 years I've wondered how it ended. I just can't remember the name of it!! If you can help me out I'd be much abliged!!
And yes, I believe I have OCD.

was it the twilight zone about the apocolypse and the only person left on earth was a librarian who wore glasses, and then he dropped them and broke them? or was it a ray bradbury story? i remember we watched a lot of them in elementary...

Amy-I DON'T KNOW!!! I remember we watched it for several weeks, so I'm sure it was longer than an episode of the Twilight Zone. And who the heck is Ray Bradbury? Am I a dork b/c I don't know?!?!?!?

by the way, i'm still in shock that you have never seen any star wars movies. growing up in our generation, how is that possible? i know you don't have any brothers, but come on!

Oh my gosh-There WAS book burning. It's all coming back slowly. I remember vaguely some sort of bonfire de books. Thanks for taking this on-it will solve literally years of wondering.
And I've only seen bits and pieces of Star Wars. I just never got into them and I think w/ boys it's time I took another shot at them. All I remember is in one of the first ones where they're in a bar and there's lots of freako creatures...

Cydney Lashanda Dunlop Barno! How did you NOT watch Star Wars? You lived with Jim Dunlop for pete sakes!

Book Burning? Was it Foot Loose?

OMGOSH! I was thinking of Foot Loose too! Perhaps this was one of those crazy recurring dreams?

ok cyd- you can close the 18 years of this ocd problem. the movie you watched was farenheight 451 - based on the book by, yes, ray bradbury.

Amy-I just did some research and that's not it!! That movie was made in 1966 and the one I watched was probably made in the late 80's. I totally appreciate your help!!

Cyd how in God's green earth did you miss watching Star Wars with Dad?????? I saw all of them in the theater with him. They were the first videos we owned on our Beta machine. You are a shame to the Dunlop name. Yes, with boys you can no longer avoid it or Raiders of the Lost Ark, Zorro, and possibly Star Trek. Crazy how you can be raised under the same roof and yet have such a different experience. Mind boggling!! FYI I was in love with Han Solo for literally years. I cried for 3 years when he was . . . wait I don't want to ruin it for you.
