They say it's human...

Here "it" is!! We're on our way to becoming a family of 5. I'm 14 weeks, due on Feb. 27. So I'm hoping this explains some grouchiness and bad skin!! We had this ultrasound at about 8 weeks and they did a 3D, which I've never had before. I wish I could say it's cute, but I think we all know I'd be lying. It was however really cool to see, especially on the screen there. If you look closely you can see the umbilical cord and it's little hand waving hi!

And a quick funny story about this picture. We had my niece Lexi over for lunch and she spotted this pic on on the fridge. She said, "Cyd is that your baby in your tummy?" And I told her yes and brought the pic over and explained it's going to look more like a baby as it grows, etc. And she looked at me sort of horrified and said, "Cyd-I think this is an animal." It was priceless. She couldn't be convinced I was carrying a human.

Happy 2nd Birthday Jake

Today would have been my nephew Jake's 2nd birthday and so his family and ours got together at the cemetery to "send balloons to heaven." It helps keep the mood light for the kids (meanwhile I do believe the adults are secretly killing ourselves) and gives us a quiet moment while we watch the balloons drift slowly out of sight. The Meyerson's did their best to keep things upbeat and we went back to their house for a cute train cake for the kids while us adults indulged on bakery made cupcakes. I am again reminded of how grateful I am for the things that Jake taught me about being grateful for life and how precious our time w/ each other really is. I love you tons buddy and I know you wouldn't want us to be sad today and so I'm trying not to be!

Tyler so proudly colored this wooden train for Jake. He got really into it and kept asking if Jake was going to like the colors he was choosing. So thoughtful!

Canoeing in Princeton

We've been meaning to come here since we've moved here and finally made it. We went w/ Jenny and Lexi and had a good time. It's right by our house on the Princeton Canal. I was imagining George Washington on this water. I love the history here.

Ty's last day of school!

At the time it seemed reasonable that they were all dressed as clowns, but now months later I just don't get it. Oh well. School starts again in 2 weeks.

The Circus comes to town

And no I'm not talking about my family. Jenny got free tickets through her work and we all went and ate cotton candy and wore funny hats! The kids had a great time...and so did we!
