Boy oh boy my boy is 7!!

My Tyler is becoming a big boy! Okay, maybe he has been for a while, but 7 seems so old!!! This boy is so sweet and caring and is such a great big brother to his little brother and sister. Today he was lucky to have Grandma Joyce, Uncle Doug & Aunt Jackie in town, and along w/ the Meyersons we went to lunch together-after taking him out of school early. What a life! he's had a fun birthday and couldn't be more gracious about gifts. In fact-he's majorly into coin collecting, so his Dad took him to a coin shop this afternoon. tonight we happened to have the Bishop over for something unrelated and Tyler just came in and offered him and his son some of his coins. It was so sweet! And that's just him. I love you buddy!

Chase's prayer

I had to note this so that when I print out this year of my blog this is remembered forever.
In Chase's prayer tonight he said, "I'm thankful that church people are good-and that pirates are dead."
I love this kid.

a parade, skin conditions, and baskets on the head

Maybe I won't have to buy Eliza a helmet. She's improvised. While we were on North Carolina Tyler lost his first tooth. FINALLY!!! Hooray! Here he is seeing it (or not seeing it) for the first time in the mirror.
This is one proud boy!
And what do you do if you're the little brother and your big brother is getting all of the attention? Stick something up your nose of course!
Bubble bathtime is a favorite around here.
Chase has the greatest smile. Look at that!
My boys are having weird skin conditions that we're headed to the dermatologist for. Tyler has hyperpigmentation and Chase depigmentation. Both on their torsos. We're concerned Chasey's is the Vitiligo that Phil has. We're hoping both of them are all right-weird!
We had the Simmons kids over and this is the train they made. We paraded up and down the street and it was all powered by Dallin and Tyler. It was great!

I did it

I pierced Eliza's ears today. I understand this is very taboo and most of you are gasping in horror. But let me set some of your fears at ease. She cried for MAYBE 30 seconds. Not that it's any comparison, but she cried for 10 minutes last week when she had shots-just to give you an idea that the pain was not so bad. She still loves me, and just gave me the greatest hug before her nap. She doesn't (so far) even know she has them in. The earrings are tiny-little 14K white gold studs. You almost can't see them in the picture. Some of the ink is still on her ears. And frankly-it's just adorable...to me! We'll see what her daddy says when he gets home. Let's just say he's not so pleased, but I'm sure it will grow on him! I love this munchkin!!
